The Australian Constructors Association (ACA) has expanded its influence in the vertical building sector today announcing its newest member, national tier one construction group, Built.
Australian Constructors Association CEO Jon Davies said Built’s involvement asserts the association’s position as the only representative body covering all three sectors of the industry—vertical, horizontal and construction services.
“The association has a strong cohort of industry leaders committed to working collaboratively to improve the sustainability of the entire industry,” said Mr Davies.
“Built has a reputation as a trusted partner for solving challenges and embracing change which makes its culture the perfect fit for the association.”
Built Managing Director and CEO Brett Mason, who will now join the ACA Board, said the construction industry is facing significant headwinds that require a collective response.
“We need to see a lot more collaboration across the industry at all levels and with government to meet the challenges ahead,” said Mr Mason.
“As a respected voice for industry, ACA is well placed to provide an efficient and effective way for government and other client groups to engage with industry on these issues.”
“Whilst many industry issues are relevant to all three sectors, there are important nuances between them which makes the Australian Constructors Association uniquely placed to advise on whole of industry issues,” said Mr Davies.
Built will join Multiplex, Lendlease and Icon as ACA members that are in the top six of the Urban Developers construction league.
