The Australian Constructors Association welcomes the Victorian Government’s announcement today to reopen construction sites from Tuesday next week.
“The Victorian Government has worked closely with the Australian Constructors Association and other industry stakeholders to determine the best way for the industry to show full compliance with the public health measures and directions,” said Australian Constructors Association CEO Jon Davies.
“The quick reopening once again demonstrates what can be achieved when government and industry work together.
“A tightening of protocols has been part of the solution, along with vaccination requirements.
“The key to putting an end to restrictions and lockdowns is vaccination.
“Our members are running awareness campaigns, toolbox information sessions with medical experts and offering paid time off for workers to get vaccinated.
“We are doing everything possible to encourage and facilitate vaccination.”
Australian Constructors Association is pleased to be part of ongoing collaborative discussions between government and industry stakeholders regarding the further relaxation of settings.
